226,000 Online Viewers on Opening DayShahdab Yazd Sets Internet Fan Record
The first day of the 2024 Asian Men’s Club Volleyball Championship saw over 226,000 online viewers, with nearly half tuning in to watch the match between Shahdab Yazd and the Indonesian representative.
According to the Volleyball Federation’s Communications Department, the 26th championship kicked off on Sunday, September 8, with four matches. The teams Gas Al-Janoob (Iraq), Pavlodar Volleyball Club (Kazakhstan), Shahdab Yazd (Iran), and Foolad Sirjan (Iran) all secured victories against their opponents.
In addition to live broadcasts on television and radio, the matches were available online via the federation’s website and the Anten platform. On the first day, over 226,000 viewers watched the efforts of the eight participating teams through these platforms.
The breakdown of online viewers for the first day’s matches is as follows:
- Sporting Club Kuwait vs. Pavlodar Kazakhstan: 24,450 viewers
- Gas Al-Janoob Iraq vs. Al-Rayyan Qatar: 30,283 viewers
- Shahdab Yazd Iran vs. Jakarta Bhayangkara Indonesia: 112,917 viewers
- Foolad Sirjan vs. Kam Air Afghanistan: 59,037 viewers
