AVC MEN’S CHAMPIONSHIP 2023/Wolochen: We have to accept our defeat
Wolochen, we must come to terms with our loss since Iran and Japan are considered one of Asia’s strongest teams.
After his team’s match against Japan, Ruben Wolochen, the head coach of Bahrain’s national team, expressed that the game was challenging and that their plans needed to be executed properly due to the strength of the Japanese team.
He said, “We need to acknowledge our loss as Iran and Japan are some of the most formidable teams in Asia. Additionally, we must step up our game in the knockout phase.”
The head coach of the Bahrain national team stated that they had heard about Urmia being the volleyball capital of Iran before their visit. Upon arrival, their assumption was confirmed – the people and spectators of Urmia were great and always kind to them.
After his team’s match against Japan, the captain of the Bahrain national volleyball team expressed disappointment in their performance but remained optimistic about their chances in the tournament’s next stage. He stated that they will strive to achieve a better position and put on a stronger showing. Despite their best efforts, the team fell short of claiming the cup and ranking third in the world. The captain acknowledged that playing against some of the best teams in the world is a challenge.
