AVC Men’s U23 Championship/ China Claim the 5th Spot at Asian Men’s U23 Championship

Ardabil, Iran, May 9, 2017 – China left Pakistan behind in straight set (25-15, 25-13, 25-13) victory and finished the 5^th in the playoff match at Rezazadeh Indoor Stadium.

Pakistan could not perform any block against the attacks of China leading by Rui Li who was also the best scorer of the match.

Mr. Qiyong Zhong, Chinese head coach elaborated on one-step relegation compared to the previous edition: “This is the first experience of my players here and this is why we lost our previous place. We will gain better place in next editions”.

The second four teams of Asian U23 Championship are respectively China, Pakistan, Kazakhstan, and Malaysia as they all have performed morning matches.
