AVC Men’s U23 Championship/China Down Pakistan 3-1 to Fight it out Against Iran
Ardabil, Iran, May 3, 2017 – China leading by the perfect blocks of captain Zhihao Liu down Pakistan 3-1 (18-25, 25-18, 25-11, 25-14) in a come-back match at the SMM 2nd Asian Men’s U23 Volleyball Championship at Rezazadeh 6000-seat Indoor Stadium on Wednesday.
Pakistan performed unbelievable showdown against China on the opening set as they prevail the Asian Powerhouse China 25-18. The Chinese disappointing from their failure came to the court with a better mentality and in a clean sweep brought three consecutive set losses to the opponent 25-18, 25-11, 25-14.
It is worth reminding China will face Iran tomorrow while Pakistan is to challenge Malaysia.
Qiyong Zhang, head coach of China concerning tomorrow’s match against Iran said after the match: “we watched the match of Iran today against Malaysia. They have problem on their serves and receptions. However, we cannot underestimate Iranian players as they are very strong and powerful.”
