AVC Men’s U23 Championship/Pakistan Set Up Playoff Rematch in Final Showdown

Ardabil, Iran, May 8, 2017 – Pakistan prevailed Kazakhstan 3-2 (25-20, 17-25, 25-23, 22-25, 16-14) and will set up rematch against China for 5^th-6^th place.

Pakistan with 2-2 record will fight for the 5^th-6^th place against China tomorrow on Tuesday.

“my players were tired. All I tried was to keep them rigorous. Kazakhstan was also not an easy rival as we had a close rivalry going up point by point.”, Mahmood Azhar, the head coach of Pakistan said.

Pakistan fought for two hours leading by good attacks of Muhammad Waseem who have threatened the defence line.

Gurin Kirill of Kazakhstan accumulated 16 highest points of the match though not brining the victory to them.
