AVC Men’s Volleyball Championship 2023 / Chundi Hou: We did not have a good start
The head coach of the Chinese national volleyball team considered his team’s start to be weak and said: Our game improved moment by moment in the match against Indonesia.
The 22nd Asian Men’s Volleyball Championship started today (Saturday, August 19) and will continue until August 26, hosted by the city of Urmia, with the participation of 17 teams.
In an interview after the team’s first match against Thailand, the head coach of China, Chundi Hou, said: “We were weak in the first two sets, but in the future, we will get the necessary result by playing better and leave the field with a win.”
Regarding the hosting conditions, he also added: Iranians are hospitable people and we are extremely grateful to all of them and the organizers for their good hosting.
Cheng Ju, the captain of the Chinese national team, also said: The tenacity of the Indonesian team made this match our toughest match.
The Chinese captain said about his team’s claim: “We will improve game by game and we will try to win.”
The Chinese national team defeated Indonesia 3-2 in their first match.
