Iran’s national volleyball team defeated Qatar this evening (Wednesday, August 16) in the second friendly match.

The 22nd AVC Men’s Volleyball Championship 2023 will be held from August 19 to August 26 with the participation of 18 teams hosted by the Islamic Republic of Iran in Urmia.

Iran’s national volleyball team, which started its training session in Urmia on August 6, played against Qatar this evening (Wednesday, August 16) in its second friendly match at Ghadir Hall in this city and won 3-1.

Behrouz Ataei’s Players lost 30-28 in the second set of this match but won the first, third, and fourth sets with the scores of 25-23, 25-15, and 25-21 respectively.

On Tuesday, August 15, Iran’s national volleyball team defeated Pakistan in its first friendly match before the start of the Asian Men’s Championship.

Iran’s men’s volleyball team will face Japan, in the third and last friendly match tomorrow evening.
