AVC Men’s Volleyball Championship 2023 / Samurais won the first match of the Asian Championship
The Japanese national volleyball team won against the Thailand team in their first match in the Asian Men’s Volleyball Championship.
The 22nd Asian Men’s Volleyball Championship started with a match between the national teams of Japan and Thailand at the 6,000-seat Al-Ghadir Stadium in Urmia, and the Japanese national team achieved victory by presenting a beautiful and spectator game 3-0 against Thailand.
In this match, the Japanese team defeated Thailand in three consecutive sets with the results of 25-19, 25-21, and 25-22 and won their first victory in this competition.
Ju Ming from China and Li Hongfai from Hong Kong as the first and second referees were in charge of judging this match.
In their second match in this competition, Japan will face Uzbekistan tomorrow (Sunday, August 20) at 13:15 at Al-Ghadir Hall in Urmia, and the Thailand team is resting.
The 22nd Asian Men’s Volleyball Championship, with the participation of 17 teams, has started today, hosted by Iran, in the city of Urmia and will continue until August 26.
