Beach U21 Team Qualify for World Champ
U21 beach team A of Iran earned the fourth place of Asia and qualified for the World Championship.
As the Public Relations of Volleyball Federation reported, Asian Men’s U21 Beach Volleyball Championship has started on Thursday, March 2 and came to an end on March, 4.
Team A of Iran having Javad Firouzpour and Alireza Aghajani in the classification round met Thailand 3 and lost in straight (19-21, 22-24) and finished the 4th in Asia while earning the berth for world championship.
Team A (Firouzpour & Aghajani):
Iran v. Sri Lanka 2: 2-0 (21-17, 21-10)
Iran v. Kazakhstan 1: 2-0 (30-28, 21-15)
Iran v. Oman: 2-0 (21-17, 21-13)
Iran v. Australia: 2-0 (21-17, 22-20)
Team B (Enayati & Shahbazi):
Iran v. Oman 2: 2-1 (20-22, 21-15, 13-15)
Iran v. Australia 1: 2-0 (21-11, 21-19)
Iran Team B eliminated with two losses recorded in the preliminary round while team A made his chance up to the semifinal in spite of the injury of Javad Firouzpour. They finished the 4th in their first-ever experience in Asian U21 Championship and maintained a ticket for the World Championship.
