Beach Volleyball Olympic Qualification: The Iranian teams have successfully advanced to the finals
Iran’s national beach volleyball teams have achieved a noteworthy feat by progressing to the final match of the Central Asia Olympics following a decisive victory over Kazakhstan in the semi-final stage. This accomplishment signifies their exceptional skill and dedication to the sport and is a testament to the hard work the athletes and their support staff put in. The beach volleyball Olympic Qualification tournament semi-final was recently hosted in Bangladesh, where Iran’s national team secured a noteworthy victory over Kazakhstan, thereby ensuring their place in the finals.
In the opening stage of the competition, the Iranian national beach volleyball team A, consisting of Bahman Salemi and Sina Shoukti, secured a win with a 2-1 score against the Kazakhstani team A, comprising Dimitri Yakovolo and Sergi Bogato.
The national team representing our country won significantly by winning the first and third sets with scores of 21-18 and 15-13, respectively. Despite facing a setback in the second set, which they lost with a score of 21-15, they could take the first step toward their goal successfully.
The B team of the Iranian national beach volleyball team, comprised of Abbas Pourasgari and Alireza Aghajani, emerged victorious in a match against Kazakhstan’s second team, securing a 2-1 win. This achievement brings both Iranian teams closer to advancing to the finals.
The team representing Kazakhstan B, consisting of Nordus Aldash and Kirill Gorin, secured a victory in the second set of their recent match with a score of 21-19. However, they could not maintain their momentum and ultimately lost to Iran in both the first and third sets, with scores of 21-17 and 15-12, respectively.
The Iranian beach volleyball teams achieved two victories in the Central Asian Olympic qualifiers and are scheduled to compete in their final match against India tomorrow.

Monday, September 11
2 p.m.: Iran’s A team (Bahman Salemi – Sina Shoukti) – India’s A team (Krishna Davaskar Rama – Kashinath Sawant Nitin Borund)
15:00: Team B of Iran (Abbaspour Asgari – Alireza Aghajani) – Team B of India (Robin Rabi – Barat Sumo)
The top teams hailing from each of the five Asian regions will be granted direct access to the final round of the Olympic qualifiers in Asia. This stage will see them pitted against the host nation and the preceding round’s champion team from the second stage, aiming to secure a coveted spot at the Olympics.
