Campedelli goes to Kerman to identify talents

The head coach of Iran’s under-16 national volleyball team is going to Kerman to identify the talents of the central region of Iran and the desert cities of our country

last year that the Iranian Volleyball Federation reached an agreement with Alessandra Campedelli to cooperate in the development and progress of Iranian women’s volleyball by obtaining the points of the World Federation’s volleyball development plan, and this Italian coach, who in 2017 alongside Julio Velasco was in charge of the technical responsibility and the selection of Italy’s basic teams in the category of junior boys and girls, and in the field of talent scouting and player discovery, he had worked with great coaches in this country to lead the women’s national team and plan to supervise the Iranian women’s basic teams on their way to Tehran

Campedelli started his work in Iran on January 2, 2022 by reviewing and supervising various competitions in the women’s category, including the Premier League, and started the first preparatory camp for the Iranian women’s national volleyball team on February 20, 2022 with the presence of 50 players in two groups. and after 11 stages of the selection and preparation camp in Iran and three overseas camps, she succeeded in winning the silver medal in the solidarity games of Islamic countries with the national women’s team of our country and reached the seventh place in the Iran Women’s Confederation Cup

In this regard, the meeting of the technical committee of the federation on October 10, in its six-hour meeting, reviewed the performance of Iran’s national women’s teams and different age groups in 2022 and determined solutions to improve the situation, growth and development of women’s professional volleyball, which paid full attention and focus on Finding professional talent at the right time and training players from a young age were among the main axes of the technical committee’s output for the growth and speed of women’s volleyball in our country at the level of Asia and the world

Based on this, considering that the World Volleyball Federation will hold the world championships for girls and boys under 17 years of age from 2024 and the continental competitions of these age groups will be held next year, this Italian coach was selected by the referee of the head of the volleyball federation. and the training of players to form the national team of Iran under 16 years of age to participate in the competitions of Asian girls under 16 years of age

In the first step, Campedelli started the 2027 women’s national team by identifying and inviting the top 120 talents of the country by participating in the third Olympiad of the best volleyball talents under the age of 14 for girls of the country, which was followed from October 14 to 19 with 92 matches in Fereydunkenar, Mazandaran province. The competition (born in 2009 and 2010) started with five stages of the selection camp, the fifth stage of which will end on Friday, the 2nd of December

Traveling to different provinces of the country is one of the other plans of the head coach of Iran’s under-16 girls’ national volleyball team to identify talents. Campedelli will be present in Kerman on December 6 and 7 to identify the talents of the central region and deserving girls from the deserts of Iran and invite them to the selection camp

Also, on 18th and 19th of December, a workshop on the equalization of teaching methods for female volleyball instructors will be held at the Iranian women’s national team camp, where Alessandra Campedelli will be one of the three instructors of this workshop
