Coaches and Players Reflect on Kazakhstan Vs Indonesia
Jakarta Bhayangkara Presisi’s head coach, Alfonso Gonzales, stated: “In the third set, we came back to the game by creating better coordination among the players, which led us to victory.”
According to the communications department of the Volleyball Federation, the third day of the Men’s Asian Club Volleyball Championship continued today (Tuesday, September 11) with four matches held at the 6,000-seat Shahdab Yazd Hall. Jakarta Bhayangkara Presisi and Pavlodar Volleyball Club, both having one win and one loss, faced off at 11 AM, where Indonesia triumphed with a score of 3-1.
Coaches and players from both teams shared their thoughts after the match:
Alfonso Gonzales, Head Coach of Jakarta Bhayangkara Presisi (Indonesia):
“We are still working on finding the right combination for the team with Ngapeth and Patry. We played well in the first two sets but went down in performance in the third set, losing it to our opponents. However, we regained better coordination among the players and won the game.”
Gribov Sergei, Head Coach of Pavlodar Volleyball Club (Kazakhstan):
“We lost the first two sets and in the third set, we tried to compete at the level of Olympic stars, which was not easy for our team. Ultimately, we lost the fourth set and the match.”
Erwin Ngapeth, Outside Hitter of Jakarta Bhayangkara Presisi (Indonesia):
“We played well in the first two sets. In the third set, the opposing team made some substitutions that strengthened their reception and made it difficult for us to return to the game. Despite these challenges, we managed to win the third and fourth sets. I am pleased that we finished second in our group. The main competitions will begin in the semifinals. During this time, we have been focused on our matches and trainings and haven’t had a chance to explore Yazd. Tomorrow is our rest day, and I am eager to see the historical city of Yazd.”
Aziat Azmakhan, Setter of Pavlodar Volleyball Club (Kazakhstan):
“Our players were tired and lacked motivation in the first two sets, which caused us to lose. In the third set, we brought in players who were not so tired from previous matches, and they managed to secure that set for us. However, overall, our opponent was a stronger team, and we lost the match.”
