Coaches and Players Reflect on Shahdab Vs Pavlodar
Head Coach of Shahdab Yazd Volleyball Team (Iran): Regardless of Our Final Opponent, We Aim to Maintain Our Quality and Showcase Beautiful Volleyball
According to the Communications Department of the Volleyball Federation, Shahdab Yazd (Iran) and Pavlodar Volleyball Club (Kazakhstan) faced off at 5 PM today (Friday, September 13) in the third match of the day. Shahdab Yazd won the match 3-0, advancing to the final and securing a spot in the World Club Championship.
Coaches and players shared their thoughts after the match:
Rahman Mohammadi R[ad, Head Coach of Shahdab Yazd (Iran):
“I congratulate everyone on this good game and victory. As a coach on the sidelines, I enjoyed the effort the players put in. They fought for the promise they made to the fans and for the pride of Iranian volleyball. Today’s game was of high quality, and we are ready for the final. Regardless of our opponent, we aim to maintain our quality and showcase beautiful volleyball to satisfy our fans. Spectators work hard, and the people of Iran should enjoy watching volleyball. It’s a promise between the players and us to restore Iranian volleyball to its rightful place. We saw beautiful scenes in this game, reflecting the players’ determination to fight for this match. I hope the fans and spectators are satisfied. Our primary goal is to participate in the World Club Championship. My personal preference doesn’t matter; what’s important is that we are in the final and have another chance to become the Asian club champions. We want to celebrate with pride alongside these people. This is my second time participating in the Asian Club Championship, and I may never participate again. I want to enjoy these moments with all my heart.”
Mehdi Mahdavi, Coach of Shahdab Yazd (Iran):
“Congratulations, we truly deserved this global recognition because a lot of effort was put in, and the entire province of Yazd supported this team. Many organizations, especially the governor’s office and the sports department, helped. Special thanks to Shahdab’s management, Mr. Sharafat and Engineer Amir Sharafat, who went above and beyond for this team, providing everything needed, from practice matches to securing additional players and preparing this venue, which was no easy task. Thankfully, with Shahdab Yazd’s efforts, it was accomplished. The players gave their all, and given our good training, we deserved this global recognition. We achieved our first goal, and now we will rest well. We are waiting to see who our opponent will be and prepare for that match. Both playing and coaching have their own challenges, and since I am inexperienced in coaching, I enjoy it and gain experience alongside Mohammadi Rad. I hope I can help them so that we can become champions and make the people of Yazd happy. We hope Foolad Sirjan wins so we can have an all-Iranian final. I think Foolad Sirjan will win against the Indonesian representative. Both teams are respectable, and whichever advances, the final will be spectacular.”
Ali Usman Faryad, Outside Hitter of Shahdab Yazd (Iran):
“Fortunately, we reached the semifinals and then the final. I thank Mr. Sharafat, the CEO, and the fans of Shahdab. We previously played against the Ngapeth team, which is very good, and the final cannot be predicted. We have to see the result of the next match. My rivalry with Ngapeth will definitely continue if they reach the final. We can be our best and continue. I played in Iran last year and this year as well, and I hope to play in this country again.”
Issin Almaz, Assistant Coach of Pavlodar Volleyball Club (Kazakhstan):
“Today we had an excellent match. Shahdab Yazd is a very strong team. We will try to prepare for the next match and show ourselves better.”
Roman Fartov, Libero of Pavlodar Volleyball Club (Kazakhstan):
“The atmosphere in the competition hall was fantastic. Shahdab is a very powerful team and managed to win against us with this strength.”
