The Asian Men’s BVB Champs will be hosted by Bandar Abbas while our country’s national team is looking for the third trophy in this competition
The 2022 Asian Men’s BVB Champs will begin on November 23 with the participation of 30 teams from 11 countries of the continent, so the top teams will be determined after holding 58 matches
The Asian Men’s and Women’s BVB Champs started in China in 2000, and the representatives of New Zealand, Indonesia, and Australia were ranked first to third in the first round of the men’s group
These competitions were not followed in the men’s group in 2002 and 2015 and in the women’s group in 2006. In 2003, these competitions were not held at all
In 2006, the Islamic Republic of Iran hosted this tournament for the first time on Kish Island, and this year it has hosted the men’s group competition for the second time
**Iran looking for the third trophy
The 22nd Asian Men’s BVB Champs will be held from November 23, hosted by Bandar Abbas, and our country’s national team is looking for the third championship in this competition
Parviz Farrokhi and Agh Mohammad Selagh are the first Asian champion team from Iran, who stood on the podium in China in 2011
In 2017, Rahman Raoufi and Bahman Salemi became champions, so that the second trophy of this competition went to Tehran from Songkhla, Thailand
The national team of our country won two runner-up positions in these competitions; the first time in 2018 in which Bahman Salemi and Arash Vakili won the silver medal, and the second time in 2021 in which Bahman Salemi and Abolhasan Khakizadeh became the runners-up
Bahman Salemi is the most decorated beach player of Iran in these competitions who has won one gold and two silver medals, and this motivated and experienced player is looking for his fourth medal in this important Asian tournament in Bandar Abbas

In the last 21 editions of the Asian Men’s BVB Champs, 9 countries have stood on the podium, and Australian representatives are at the top of the honorees with five championships, one runner-up, and four bronze medals
The countries of Indonesia (four gold, three silver, and two bronze medals), China (three gold, six silver, and four bronze medals), and New Zealand (two gold, two silver, and one bronze medals) are also ranked second to fourth in this statistical data
With two championships (2011 and 2017) and two runners-up (2018 and 2021), Iranian beach volleyball ranks fifth among the winners of these competitions
Qatar (two golds and two bronzes), Kazakhstan (one gold, four silvers, and three bronzes), Thailand (two silver and bronze medals), and Japan (two bronze medals) are the other honored countries of the Asian Men’s BVB Champs
**$30,000 tournament bonus
For the top teams of the Asian Men’s BVB Champs in Bandar Abbas, a bonus of 30,000 dollars has been planned, which will be paid as follows:
First team: $7,500
Second team: $6,000
Third team: $4,500
Fourth team: $3,000
5th to 8th teams: $1,050 per team
9th to 16th teams: $600 per team
