2017 FIVB Volleyball Boys’ U19 Championship | Bahrain

The national youth team of Iran in FIVB Volleyball Boys’ U19 Championship is taking their 11th world experience.
As the Public Relations of Volleyball Federation Reported, the 15th FIVB Volleyball Boys’ U19 World Championship will be held in Riffa, Bahrain on 18-27 August.
Twenty teams will participate in four five-team pools in preliminary round. Asia has five representatives including the top four teams (Japan, South Korea, China, Iran) plus the host Bahrain.

Pool 1: Bahrain, USA, Porto Rico, Egypt, Tunisia
Pool 2: Poland, Brazil, Cuba, japan, France
Pool 3: Argentina, Russia, Chile, South Korea, Turkey
Pool 4: Iran, Italy, Mexico, China, Czech Republic

The national youth team of Iran will rest on the first day and is to face Italy, Mexico, China, and Czech Republic in the next four days.
Iran in Last 10 Editions
The first FIVB Volleyball Boys’ U19 World Championship was held in 1989 in Saudi Arabia where Iran claimed the 4th.
The youth volleyball players of Iran have already partaken in 10 editions, out of which got the podium for five times including 2007.
Two vice-championships in 2001 and 2009 and two bronze medals in 2003 and 2014 are of the other glories achieved by Iranian youth team. The fourth place in 1989 and 2013, fifth place in 2005, ninth and ten places in 1997 and 2011 are of the other achievements recorded by the Iranian youth team.
Iranian youth team with ten participation ranked the third in terms of presence following Brazil and Russia with 14 and 11 participation apiece.

The 14th editions of World Youth Championship was held in Argentina on August 14 and was finished after 10 days introducing Poland as the champion. The host Argentina and Iran achieved the silver and bronze medals.
Russia, Italy, Brazil, USA, China, Turkey, Cuba, France, Bulgaria, Germany, Mexico, Japan, Chile, Belgium, Chinese Taipei, Porto Rico, and Egypt are of the other participating teams respectively stepped onto the next ranks from four to twenty.
The volleyball youth players of Iran have displayed the best performance among the Asian teams. China, Japan, and Chinese Taipei are of the other Asian representatives conquered the 8th, 15th, and 18th.
The guys of Mohammad Vakili lost the debut match against Poland but won the next encounters against Chile, Chinese Taipei, and Bulgaria.
The youth players of Iran brought loss to Germany and Italy in the second round and moved up to the semifinal to face Poland again. On their seventh match, Iran could not beat Poland and could not make their way up to the final. Poland crowned the championship.
Iranian youth players defeated Russia, the vice-champion of the last edition and claimed the bronze medal with six wins and two losses. It is noteworthy to add that Ali Asghar Mojarad as the best blocker found his way up into FIVB dream Team.

Brazil, The Most Honorable Team
Brazil is the honorable team of the world in U19 age group. The Brazilian youth with six gold and one silver medal are the glorious team of the world. The second place goes to Russia with three gold, two silver, and one bronze medals.
Serbian U19 boys ranked the third with two gold medals while Iran is the fourth with one gold, two silver, and two bronze medals.
Italy (1 gold, 1 silver, 1 bronze), and Poland (1 gold & 2 bronze) conquered the fifth and sixth berths of the world.
