Fatemi: Hosting Asian Men’s Club Volleyball Championship is a Way to Showcase the Capacities of Yazd, the World City

The governor of Yazd emphasized that hosting the 26th Asian Men’s Club Volleyball Championship is an honor for the city. He expressed we hope that this significant event will enhance the recognition of capacities of Yazd and improve the city’s sports potential.

According to the Communications Department of the Volleyball Federation, Mehran Fatemi, the governor of Yazd, stated that it is an honor for our beautiful city to host the 26th Asian Men’s Club Volleyball Championship, which will feature six foreign teams and two Iranian teams.

The head of the organizing committee for the 2024 Asian Men’s Club Volleyball Championship stated that we should express our gratitude to Shahdab Yazd Cultural and Sports Club and Yazd General Directorate of Sports and Youth for their efforts in providing the necessary infrastructure to host this tournament at an international standard within a short timeframe.

The governor of Yazd emphasized that hosting this event is a significant honor on an international level. He expressed hope that this major event will further showcase the capacities of Yazd and enhance the sports potential of both Yazd and the Islamic Republic of Iran.

He continued by stating that, just as Yazd has achieved success in various other fields, it should also excel in different sports disciplines, particularly volleyball, and attain great honors.

Fatemi highlighted the importance of fans attendance, expressing hope that all passionate supporters from Yazd and our dear citizens will come out to cheer for our beloved team, Shahdab Yazd so that we can achieve remarkable success on our home ground.
