Florence to Host Men’s World Championship draw on Thursday
Lausanne, Switzerland, November 27, 2017 – Scheduled to take place on Thursday, November 30, the drawing of lots ceremony for the 2018 edition of the FIVB Volleyball Men’s World Championship will be held in the historic surroundings of the Palazzo Vecchio in Florence, Italy.
The draw will determine the makeup of the pools in the first round of the 2018 tournament, which will feature a total of 24 teams including hosts Italy and Bulgaria and reigning world champions Poland. It will be carried out under the supervision of FIVB 2nd Executive Vice President Aleksandar Boricic.
The ceremony will be broadcast in Italy by RaiSport HD as of 16.30. It will also be available live on the Italian Volleyball Federation’s Facebook and YouTube pages.
The draw for the 2018 edition of the FIVB Volleyball Women’s World Championship will follow on December 7 in Japan.
