Home Crowd Do Not Earn Velasco a win
Luca Vettori with 15 points has helped Italy to edge Argentina 3-1 (25-18, 25-20, 22-25, 25-22 ) in front of a rapturous Tehran home crowd bearing the love of Argentinean coach in heart on the opening night of week 3.

Zaytsev was substituted by Lanza as Lorenzo felt concerned with losing the points one after another to down 10-16 in the second TTO. Nicolas Bruno closed the set for Argentina 25-22.
In the fourth set, Argentina revived the hope as they take the lead 6-8 in the first technical time out. Soon Italy found its feet and with star player Simone Buti a comeback in 11-10 and had head up to 16-12 in the second technical time out by consecutive attempts of Vettori in spike. The home crowd raised in ecstasy as Argentina reduced the differences 21-20 but Italy’s stunning efforts made them unstoppable. The Argentinean coach of Iran, Juan Cichello were eagerly watching his home team performance that finally Simone Buti closed the match for Italy.
