Indonesian Representative, the First Team to the Semifinals

Jakarta Bhayangkara Presisi from Indonesia achieved a decisive victory against their Qatari opponent in the first match of the quarterfinals, becoming the first team to advance to the semifinals.

According to the Communications Department of the Volleyball Federation, the quarterfinals of the 26th Asian Men’s Volleyball Club Championship continued today (Thursday, September 12) with four matches held at the 6,000-seat Shahdad Yazd Sports Hall.

In the opening match at 11 AM, Jakarta Bhayangkara Presisi faced Al Rayyan from Qatar. The Indonesian team won in three sets with scores of 25-18, 25-17, and 25-23, securing their place in the semifinals.

In the first set, the Indonesian representatives took an early lead and maintained their advantage until the end, winning 25-18. The second set began with both teams closely matched, but under the guidance of coach Alfonso Gonzales, Jakarta pulled ahead with a three-point lead and ultimately won the set by eight points, finishing 25-17.

In the third set, Al Rayyan showcased a stronger performance and kept pace with their opponents. However, they were unable to overcome the star Indonesian team and lost the set 25-23, resulting in a 3-0 victory for Jakarta Bhayangkara Presisi.

As a result, the Indonesian representative will face the winner of the match between Foolad Sirjan and the Kuwaiti team in the semifinals.

The match was officiated by first referee Alireza Gharib from Iran and second referee Hamid Aghabarari from Afghanistan. Approximately 250 spectators attended the match at the Shahdad Yazd Sports Hall.

At 2 PM, Pavlodar Volleyball Club from Kazakhstan, who finished third in their group, will take on Kam air from Iraq, who secured second place in Group B in the second quarterfinal match.
