Indonesian team Secures First Victory in Yazd
Jakarta Bhayangkara Presisi team from Indonesia achieved its first victory in the Asian Men’s Club Volleyball Championship on the second day of the tournament.
According to the Volleyball Federation’s communications department, the matches on the second day of the 26th Asian Men’s Club Volleyball Championship commenced at 11 AM today (Monday, September 9) with a match between Jakarta Bhayangkara Presisi (Indonesia) and Sporting Club (Kuwait) at the 6,000-seat Shahediyeh Hall in Yazd.
Under the guidance of coach Alfonso Gonzales, the Indonesian team triumphed over their opponent with a decisive 3-0 victory, marking their first win in this competition.
The first set concluded with a score of 25-18. The second set experienced a five-minute stoppage due to scoring errors and protests from both teams, but ultimately, the Indonesian representative secured the set with another score of 25-18.
In a thrilling third set, Indonesia won the match with a score of 25-19, amidst an enthusiastic crowd of over 100 spectators.
With this victory, the Indonesian team earned its first three points in the Asian Club Championship.
Later today, Al Rayyan Sporting Club (Qatar) will face off against Kam air (Afghanistan) at 2 PM.
