The preliminary stage of the volleyball tournament of the League of Nations of the Central Asia region, which started on the 24th of November with the participation of five teams from Pakistan, Iran, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, and Sri Lanka, hosted by the city of Lahore, Pakistan, ended today, Monday, the 28th of November
In today’s first match, Iran’s national youth volleyball team, whose promotion to the final match of this competition was confirmed, faced Pakistan’s national team and lost 3-0 to the opponent
Mohammad Vakili, the head coach of the national youth team, used the non-main team for most of the minutes of this match to rest the main players for tomorrow’s match (the final match)
Pakistanis won with 25-22, 25-20 and 25-17 points and were at the top of the table with 4 wins and 12 points, and the Iranian team won the second place with three wins and 9 points and went to the final match
These matches will be held in one group and the teams of Pakistan and Iran (first and second in the table) will face each other tomorrow in the final match. The third and fourth teams of the table also advance to the classification match
The national volleyball team of Bangladesh, which is resting today, is in the third place and tomorrow it will face the winner of the last match of the qualifying round (Sri Lanka-Afghanistan) in the ranking match
