Iranian Juniors Clinch Vice-championship in Asia
The national volleyball juniors of Iran accepted a sour loss in the final match against China and clinched the vice-championship.
As the public relations of volleyball federation reported, the national volleyball juniors of Iran lost to China 3-2 (25-27, 25-21, 29-31, 25-18, 13-15). Iran has already earned the world berth in semi-final match.
The starting players of Ataei were Javad Karimi, Esmaeil Talebi, Amir Hossein Esfandiyar, Esmaeil Mosafer, Tayeb Eyni, Ali Asghar Mojarad, and Rasoul Aghcheli.
National juniors of Iran experienced six straight wins against Turkmenistan, Qatar, Hong Kong, Sri Lanka, South Korea, and Kazakhstan and one 3-1 win against Japan. The last and first loss took place in the final match against China. The 18th editions of Asian U-20 Championship is finished in Chinese Taipei on July, 17. The top first teams of Asian Juniors are recorded as China, Iran and Korea.
