Iran VF Deny any Connection with the Person under Arrest in Rio

Iran volleyball Federation released a statement therein any connection with the arrested Iranian member is denied.

As the public relations of Iran Volleyball Federation reported, it has been some days since the news of arresting an Iranian person in Brazil is released. Unfortunately, a Brazilian website has mistakenly connected the name of the Iranian guy in case to one of official member of Volleyball federation. This is hereby strongly rejected by Iran Volleyball Federation. The president of Iranian federation, along with the officials and the Iranian members of technical committee returned back to Iran right after the end of the matches and their interviews were also broadcasted on Radio and TV.

The Ministry of Youth and Sport has already issued a statement about the same case and informed the public that the person in charge has nothing to do with Iranian Sports Teams. He was sent to Brazil from a sport association. Iran’s ambassador in Brazil propounded that, fortunately we faced no problem on the side of athletes, spectators, and the entourages from Iran and other countries who were in Rio warmly supporting Iranian teams.
