Iranian Women Storm Korea 3-1
Sarmayeh Bank team of Iran storm 4.25 Sports Club of Korea 3-1 (26-28, 26-24, 25-20, 25-20).
As the public relations of Volleyball Federation reported, Majda Cicic, the new head coach of Iran started the first day of AVC Women’s Club Championship with victory over North Korea whose Serbian coach could not do anything against the Serbian coach of Iran and her young guys. Iran rout past North Korea in the Group B pool play of the SMM 2016 Asian Women’s Club Volleyball Championship at the Alonte Sports Arena on Saturday.
The starting players of Majda were Shabnam Alikhani, Maedeh Borhani, Mahsa Saberi, Negar Kiani, Zeinab Giveh, Soudabeh Bagherpour, and farnoush Sheikhi.
Kadkhoda Mahsa and Sheikhi Farnoosh delivered 21 and 19 hits, respectively, for the Iranians, who outdid their rivals in power spikes, 62-48.
Iran is to rest tomorrow and will set up the second match on September, 5. Here is the complete result of day 1:
