“Jean Patry Thrilled to Play in Front of Passionate Iranian Fans”
Jean Patry, the star opposite spiker for Jakarta Bhayangkara Presisi, representing Indonesia, expressed his excitement about coming to Iran and playing in front of the local fans.
In a statement to the Volleyball Federation’s Communications Department, Patry, one of the world’s renowned volleyball players, shared his thoughts on participating in the Asian Men’s Club Championship. He noted, “I believe these competitions are quite different from those in Europe. It’s exciting to see so many Asian teams participating. I’m happy to be in Iran to play volleyball because I know how important the sport is here.”
He continued, “I’m thrilled to play in front of Iranian spectators, and it will be a great experience for me. Our team’s goal is undoubtedly to reach the finals, and I believe we can achieve that.”
Regarding his new team, Jakarta Bhayangkara Presisi, Patry said, “This team is new to me, and I just joined them. It’s a bit strange, but it’s not a problem. The training session went well, and I’m glad to be part of this team for the competition.”
Patry also mentioned, “I don’t know much about the city of Yazd, but I think it’s a nice place although the weather is very hot.
He emphasized, “After the Olympics, these kinds of competitions are a challenge for me. As athletes, we need such challenges, and it’s good to continue facing them. I try to enjoy all the games and push myself to achieve my goals.”
Addressing the fans of the Asian Men’s Club Championship, Patry said, “I know I have many fans in Iran, and I appreciate their constant support. I’m happy to see my fans at these competitions.”
