The Kazakhstan volleyball team is making progress towards winning the 13th title of the Asian Men’s Championship in Urmia after a decisive win against Hong Kong.
The Shahidan Ahandoost hall, which can hold up to three thousand people, saw a match between a Hong Kong and a Kazakhstan team competing for ranks 13 to 16. The Kazakhstan team emerged victorious with a score of 3-0, beating their opponents 25-18, 25-17, and 25-2. They defeated a total of 17 opponents.
In the match between Hong Kong and Kazakhstan, the Hong Kong players scored the first point. However, the Kazakhstan team quickly caught up and called for a time-out after compensating the points.
The initial round concluded with Kazakhstan leading 25-18, primarily due to their superior performance with fewer mistakes. Additionally, the Hong Kong team showed signs of weakness during the match.
In the second set, Kazakhstan demonstrated better performance and emerged victorious with a score of 25-17. Similarly, in the third set, the Kazakh team had an easy time defeating their weaker opponent with a score of 25-17.
In this way, with Kazakhstan’s 3-0 win against Hong Kong, the Kazakhs will meet the winner of Bangladesh and Afghanistan tomorrow (Friday, August 25) to win the 13th title, and the loser of that match will face Hong Kong and win the 15th place.
Obaidullah Shah from Pakistan and Ibrahim Mahmood from Qatar were the judges of this match. Today’s match was one of the least watched matches of this period of competitions, and again, the number of women spectators was more than men.
