Men’s Asian Club Volleyball Championship: Preliminary Round Schedule
The 2024 Men’s Asian Club Volleyball Championship is set to commence tomorrow (Sunday, September 9) in Yazd, with the first match featuring representatives from Kazakhstan and Kuwait.
According to the Volleyball Federation’s communications department, the 26th Asian Men’s Club Volleyball Championship will take place over eight days in Yazd, hosting some of the biggest stars in world volleyball across eight competing teams.
In the opening match of the tournament, the teams from Kuwait and Kazakhstan will face off, while the host team, Shahdab Yazd, will compete against Jakarta Bhayangkara Presisi from Indonesia at 5 PM on the first day of the competition.
Additionally, Foolad Sirjan Iranian, another representative from Iran, will play its first match against Kam Air from Afghanistan, scheduled to start at 8 PM.
The tournament will be organized into two groups as follows:
Group A: Shahdab Yazd (Iran), Sporting Club (Kuwait), Jakarta Bhayangkara Presisi (Indonesia), and Pavlodar Volleyball Club (Kazakhstan)
Group B: Gas Aljanoob (Iraq), Al-Rayyan Sports Club (Qatar), Kam Air (Afghanistan), and Foolad Sirjan Iranian (Iran)

On Wednesday, September 12, the participating teams will have a rest day. Following this break, on Thursday, the top four teams from each group will face off in cross-matches. The subsequent stages of the tournament will take place from Friday to Sunday, September 13 to 15, determining the final rankings of the eight competing teams.
