The Men’s Volleyball Premier League 2024 will start on Wednesday, 2^nd October, and the finals of this competition will be held in the form of three wins out of five games.

According to the communication department of the volleyball federation, the 38th championship of Iran’s Men’s Volleyball Premier League 2024 will start on Wednesday, the 2nd of October, with the participation of 13 teams.

Shahdab Yazd, Mehregan Noor, Paykan Tehran, Sanatgaran Omid, Shahrdari Urmia, Sepehr Sadra Mashhad, Tabiaat, Mes Rafsanjan, Foolad Sirjan Iranian, Pas Gorgan, Gitipasand Isfahan, Chador Malo Ardakan and Saipa Tehran are the participating teams in these competitions.

In the preliminary round of this competition, the teams will compete against each other in the form of a group, and then the top eight teams will go to the playoffs. The quarter-finals and semi-finals of the Men’s Premier League will be held in the form of two wins out of three matches, but the finals of this year’s competition will be held for the first time in the form of three wins out of five matches.

In the Premier League 2024, the group stage matches will end after 26 weeks, and the top eight teams will advance to the playoffs, and the winning teams of two out of three matches will advance to the next stage. In this stage, the first team compete with the eighth, the second with the seventh, the third with the sixth and the fourth with the fifth.

In the second stage of the playoffs, the winning teams of the first stage will face each other in three matches so that the winning teams in two matches will advance to the finals.

According to the announcement of the Volleyball Federation League, the final of the 38th Iran Men’s Premier League is going to be held for the first time in the form of three wins out of five matches.

In the total of 37 rounds of these competitions, 20 times the leaders of the group stage table have been announced as champions, in three rounds, four teams have advanced to the semi-final stage and the champion has been announced from among them, and in 13 rounds, the top eight teams of the table have been declared champions. They advanced to the playoff stage, and finally the first to third teams of the tournament were determined. Due to the spread of Corona, one round of competitions has been left unfinished.

On the other hand, play-off matches have been held in four seasons of the Men’s Premier League, which were in 2018, 2019, 2011 and 2012.
