Mojtaba Mirzajanpour sidelined for four months
TEHRAN – Iran international outside spiker Mojtaba Mirzajanpour will spend four months on the sidelines.
The Sepahan player suffered an ankle injury in the match against Shahdab Yazd in the Matchweek 9 of Iran Volleyball Super League on Tuesday.
The 29-year-old player underwent a surgery on Friday and will be sidelined for four months.
Mirzajanpour was part of the Iranian team who secured the berth at the 2020 Olympic Games in January.
Iran National Volleyball Team have been drawn in Pool A of the Olympics along with Japan, Poland, Italy, Canada and Venezuela.
Pool B consists of Brazil, the U.S., Russia, Argentina, France and Tunisia.
