Paykan Bounds Up Sarmayeh Bank in Final
Tehran Paykan beat Urmia Shahrdari and joined Sarmayeh Bank in the final round.
As the public relations of volleyball federation reported, the semifinal had the challenge of third match of Urmia Shahrdari and Tehran Paykan both thirsty to join the finalist team. Urmia Shahrdari who lost his head coach Travica due to financial problem of the team performed such high after him in a way that in play-off against Paykan recorded 1-1 win and the third match heated up for both side as the either side needed a critical winning point to get closer to the trophy.
Finally, Marouf’s team succeeded to prevail Urmia Shahrdari 3-1 (25-22, 25-22, 18-25, 25-19). The match was such breathtaking lasted for 135 minutes keeping 800 interested spectators on the verge of their seat at Volleyball House.
The players of Sarmayeh Bank and the new head coach of Iran, Igor Kolakovic were at the venue to watch this match.
The final round will set up on Wednesday, March 8. The finalist teams are the same as last year when Sarmayeh Bank was declared the champion. The final match summed up into three matches having the best team as the titlist.
