WCH QT/ Qatar Nets 2nd Victory by straight-set win against Qatar

Ardabil, Iran, August 11, 2017 – Chinese men netted their second win at FIVB World Qualification Tournament at Rezazadeh 6000-seat Stadium on Second day. China beat Qatar in straight set (25-22, 25-21, 25-22) and with 6 points is ready to challenge the host Iran Tomorrow on the decisive match of day 3.

Concerning tomorrow’s match against Iran, Lozano, the head coach of China said: “I knew Iran but to win, I should know more. It we can use our system how to annul their blocking system, we can win then. In Rio Olympic Games, Iran was among the top three of the best blocking system. So, the key to our win will be to adapt our operations to their blocking system”.
The top two teams of the Ardabil tournament qualify to the 2018 World Championship, which will be jointly hosted by Italy and Bulgaria next year.

Hosts Italy and Bulgaria, defending champions Poland have direct tickets to the FIVB’s flagship tournament. France, the Netherlands, Slovenia, Russia, Serbia, Finland, and Belgium from Europe plus Japan and Australia from Asia have already secured their berths through continental qualifiers.
