Sadeghi Named Vice-president of IRIVF Women Department
Tehran, Iran, July 1, 2017 – Ms. Fariba Sadeghi, head coach of Isfahan Zob Ahan, took over the vice-presidency of Women Department at Iran Volleyball Federation.
She will chair the Women Department until the election for presidential position of Iran Volleyball Federation because IRVF President Dr. Mohammad Reza Davarzani has already appointed the deputy-minister of Youth & Sports Ministry of Iran and then new president of volleyball federation would have the final decision.
Therefore, she will take care of Women Department at least until the end of this summer. It is said that the election will be held in August 2017, but it is not yet fixed.
The new vice-president of Women Department is carrying a wealth of experience in her career as she holds a bachelor’s degree in Physical Education achieving her international coaching certificate Level II as well as national refereeing certificate. She coached all the age-group teams at youth, junior, and senior levels in Iran.
Ms. Sadeghi is trying to bring some changes into the women’s volleyball as she said: “Our focus is to activate the Premier League of women in terms of quality and quantity. We are to suggest the men’s clubs to invest more to have the women’s teams as well. We need to provide the women’s volleyball with private sponsors. The talent-finding committee is to be boosted. In so doing, we are going to have a meeting with the women’s vice-presidents from all the provinces of Iran this week. We will try our best to work on basic levels that is our long-term plans set to be achieved in 2020.”
