Sarmayeh Bank accept straight loss against Bangkok Glass
Bangkok Glass of Thailand overwhelmed Sarmayeh Bank of Iran 3-0 (25-17, 25-12, 25-15), to sweep Pool B of the SMM 2016 Asian Women’s Club Volleyball at the Alonte Sports Arena on Monday.
Captain Pleumjit Thinkaow finished with 13 points for defending champions Bangkok Glass, which needed only one hour and 19 minutes to take the win.
Wilavan Apinyapong and Nguyen Thi Ngoc Hoa added nine markers each for Thailand, which banked on their superb attacks 38-22.
Bangkok Glass carried a 2-0 win-loss record entering the classification match to determine the placings for the quarter-finals.
Farnoosh Sheikhi made nine points for Sarmayeh Bank.
Iran evened their record 1-1 and will also see action in the classification match for the quarter-finals placing.
