Sarmayeh Bank pounded T.Grand of Chinese Taipei
Iran’s Sarmayeh Bank pounded T.Grand of Chinese Taipei to submission in straight sets (25-14, 25-16, 25-12) in the classification round of Pool F of the “SMM” 2016 Asian Women’s Club Volleyball Championship at the Alonte Sports Arena on Wednesday.
The Iranians uncorked 41 points off attacks and dominated the net with nine kill blocks, while adding nine service aces.
Mahsa Kadkhoda scored 16 points anchored on 11 kills, three aces and a pair of blocks for Sarmayeh Bank. Maedeh Borhani Esfahani finished with 13 points, while captain Zeinab Giveh scored 11 for the Iranian club, which finished as Pool F’s third seed and will face Altay VC of Kazakhstan in the knockout quarter-finals.
T.Grand finished Pool F’s No.4 seed and will take on unbeaten Japan in the quarter-finals on Friday, September 9.
Huang Chen-Yu scored six points, while Huang Ching Hsuan and Chen Yu-Chieh registered five points each
