Shahdab Yazd Coach Expresses Satisfaction with Team’s Condition
The head coach of Shahdab Yazd Volleyball Team stated that their first match against Indonesia, the champion of the previous tournament, is approaching, and he hopes that with the enthusiastic support of fans, they can deliver a commendable performance with a favorable result.
According to the Communications Department of the Volleyball Federation, Rahman Mohammadi-Rad, the head coach of Shahdab Yazd, expressed his anticipation for the start of the 26th Asian Men’s Club Volleyball Championship. “With the participation of eight confirmed teams in this tournament, we are eagerly awaiting the matches,” he said.
Regarding the participating teams, he added, “It is difficult to make judgments about the teams at this moment; tomorrow marks the first day of the competition. We hope that with proper hosting, we will witness exciting matches that bring joy to our dear fans.”
Mohammadi-Rad explained that due to the inclusion of foreign players in the teams, he expects high-quality games. “Almost all teams have one or two foreign players who are truly renowned in the world of volleyball participating in this tournament.”
He noted, “Among the contending teams, only Japan has withdrawn from these competitions. I believe that without Japan’s presence, teams like Indonesia, Foolad Sirjan, Al Rayyan from Qatar, and Shahdab Yazd are among the contenders. However, our understanding of the teams so far is based on their names; we do not yet know what will unfold in the matches or the level of the other teams.”
Regarding Shahdab’s condition, Mohammadi-Rad stated, “I am genuinely satisfied with the team’s status. I would like to thank Shahdab management for meeting all the team’s needs to better prepare the players. I also want to express my gratitude to the players and staff for their commitment and discipline. In our preparatory matches, we addressed our needs and prepared ourselves to start the competition well.”
He highlighted Shahdab’s opening match against Indonesia, saying, “Our first match is against Indonesia, a team that made it to the finals in the previous tournament, I hope that with the passionate support of our fans, we can present a commendable game with a favorable outcome.”
Addressing Yazd’s fans, the coach said, “I came to Yazd as a guest, but now I feel like a member of this city’s community. We are fighting for Yazd. I request that people will come to the court and support us. Additionally, it is essential to uphold respect for our guests during this hosting and ensure they leave Yazd with pleasant memories.”
