Sirjan Foulad, Urmia Shahrdari Set Up Final Clash of Iran’s Super League

Tehran, Iran, March 7, 2021 – Sirjan Foulad stunned Sepahan Foulad to set up final showdown with Urmia Shahrdari in Iran Men’s Volleyball Super League on Sunday.
The newly-formed club of Sirjan Foulad qualified for the final following their straight-set win 27-25, 25-15, 25-21 in their second match of the semifinal against Sepahan Foulad, the top team after 30-week preliminary round. Sirjan Foulad with two straight wins in row against Sepahan Foulad moved up to the final round.

Saber Kazemi from the winning side scored a match-high 19 points while Kiavosh Heidari contributed 11 points for Sepahan Foulad.

In the next semifinal match of the day, Urmia Shahrdari repeated their victory against Amol Haraz with the same result 3-2 (23-25, 26-24, 25-17, 23-25, 15-10).

Amin Alavi scored a game-high 25 points for Amol Haraz, while Pourya Yali chipped in with 24 points for Urmia Shahrdari.
Sirjan Foulad played Sepahan Foulad twice and Urmia Shahrdari also did likewise in their match against Amol Haraz. To advance to the final, teams had to win two matches.
