After his team’s win against Thailand in the first elimination round of the Asian Men’s Volleyball Championship, Camilo Andres Soto commented that it was a challenging game, but his players showed great coordination and patience, resulting in a three-zero victory. The head coach of the Qatar national volleyball team expressed that while the Chinese Taipei national team may have a higher chance of advancing on paper, they cannot predict the outcome and are waiting to see how the other games play out.
After the match, the outside hitter of the Qatar national volleyball team expressed that their victory was a result of great teamwork and coordination. Ribeiro Renan, also commented on the match, saying that it was an emotional game in the elimination stage and they were grateful for their win. The Thailand team they played against in the Challenge Cup was a new generation, and they played a good game. Renan emphasized that every mistake in the match was crucial but they played cautiously and ultimately won. He stated that there was no pressure on the Qatar team and they were able to secure the win by putting pressure on the opposing team due to their four years of playing together and good coordination.
Qatar is scheduled to play against the victor of the match between Chinese Taipei and Iraq in the upcoming round. The winner of that match will then go on to compete against Japan in the semi-finals, with the ultimate goal of becoming the champion of the tournament.
