The 2nd Specialized Meeting held to Review Strategies for the Development of Women’s Volleyball
Tehran, Iran, February 17, 2021 – The second specialized meeting on problem-solving and reviewing strategies for the development of women’s volleyball was held on Tuesday at the Volleyball Academy of women.
At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Fariba Mohammadian, the Vice-President of the Federation delivered the message of President Davarzani to the guests and welcomed everyone while appreciating the past efforts of the managers in the field of volleyball and expressed hope that this cooperation and assistance will continue in the future for the development of women’s volleyball.
Ms. Afsaneh Biyabani, Akram Yahyaei, Leila Mohammadian and Hajar Nejatizadeh, Sarah Hessaby, and Neda Molahoveizeh were present in this meeting. Reviewing the challenges of the past, the guests offered solutions for the development of women’s volleyball.
It is noted that the first meeting was held with the presence of representatives of sports associations of various organizations such as University, Labor, Students, etc., in which Dr. Mohammadian stated: “The main topic in that meeting was problem-solving. Several issues were raised and some conclusions were made, and it was decided to finalize the approvals with the concurrence of you at this meeting”.
“One of the good things that have already happened at the Volleyball Federation by Dr. Davarzani was to form independent volleyball commissions in the Free Zones that facilitate our cooperation with them,” she said.
The focus of this meeting is to organize the provinces based on modern volleyball according to their different capacities, as well as discussing the issues of national teams in different categories and reviewing the existing trends to strengthen and implement better programs.
At the end of the meeting, Dr. Mohammadian announced the formation of the strategic council for the development of women’s volleyball. The formation of specialized working groups and the production of electronic contents were of the other topics discussed at the meeting.
