The Asian Men’s BVB Champs; Holding a general technical meeting

The Asia Beach Volleyball Open Tour will be held from November 7 to 11 in Bandar Abbas, and the general technical meeting and the draw ceremony for the group stage of this tournament were held tonight (Sunday, November 6) in the Persian Gulf Hotel conference hall

The ceremony was held in the presence of Milad Taghavi, Secretary General of the Volleyball Federation, Jayaraman Srinivasan, the technical supervisor of the matches, Nader Ansari, the referee supervisor, and the players and members of the technical staff of all teams

At the beginning of the ceremony, Milad Taghvi said: We are happy that you are in Iran and participating in these competitions. We hope to be a good host for you in this tournament because many people have tried to provide the best conditions for this hosting during the last few months

He added: “The representative of Hormozgan province was waiting for your presence to start this competition.” With the start of these competitions, you will see the hospitality of these people. I hope this tournament is one of the best beach tournaments held in Iran

The Secretary General of the Iran Volleyball Federation continued: With the Federation’s special view on Beach Volleyball, this tournament is very important for us. As for all countries that are advanced in Beach Volleyball, this tournament is important. Please let us know if there is any problem so that it can be solved as soon as possible. I hope you have a good day ahead

Further, Jayaraman Srinivasan, holding of the Asian men’s Beach Volleyball championship after 16 years in Iran, said: I thank the Volleyball Federation for holding this tournament. Oman withdrew and as a result, the tournament will be held among 21 teams

He continued: Based on the scores of the teams in the Asian tournaments, it was determined that since it is not possible to have two teams from the same country in the same group, the Kazakh team replaced Australia with three in Group A, and the Iranian team with three replaced the Indian team in Group B

He also explained the schedule of the matches and the travel of the teams and recommended that the players take into account health recommendations as much as possible and not travel outside the venue of the matches as much as possible except with the volleyball family

Nader Ansari also explained some issues in this regard as the refereeing supervisor of the matches and said: Take health protocols seriously during the game. I hope you have a good time in Iran

In this way, the grouping of the teams in the Asia Beach Volleyball Open Tour was presented, and based on this, the teams will start their matches in the form of eight groups from tomorrow

Group B: Australia 1, Kazakhstan 2, and Iran 3

Group C: China 1, Kazakhstan 1, Hong Kong 1

Group D: Thailand 1, China 3, Iran 4

Group E: Qatar 1, China 2, Hong Kong 2

Group F: Thailand 2, Japan 2

Group G: Japan 1, Australia 2

Group H: Iran 2, Qatar 2
