The 22nd Asian Men’s Beach Volleyball Championship will be held from November 14 to 18, hosted by Bandar Abbas
The judging clinic of this competition was held this morning (Sunday, November 13) in the conference hall of the Persian Gulf Hotel in Bandar Abbas with the presence of judges
Nader Ansari, the referee supervisor of the Asian Championship, said about this meeting: In this clinic, we talked more about the things that happened in the Asian Open Tour and took them into consideration. Regarding some problems that existed in the previous tournament, some referees needed more explanation based on the rules so that the previous problems are not repeated because the level of this tournament is higher than the open tour
He stated that the new rules of beach volleyball were emphasized in the meeting, and clarified: Explanations were given to the referees about the uniforms of the players. The description of the duties of the referees and their relationship with the technical supervisor of the matches and the referee supervisor regarding the cases where these two people decide were among the other issues that were discussed in this meeting
Ansari added: Regarding the injury that the players ask for a doctor, explanations were given to the referees to consider the rules in such cases. The timing of the match is very important and there should not be any illegal delay in the game, therefore the referee must control the timing of the match
In response to how he evaluates the performance of foreign and Iranian referees, he said: Foreign referees had a performance of 90% and there were very few cases where they had problems, but Iranian referees need to gain more experience and tournaments like this They didn’t, maybe they had problems in many cases, but they are making progress
In the end, referee supervisor said: “During the Asian Men’s Championship, we will have daily meetings, and every day before the start of the match, we have a 15-minute conversation at the match venue to discuss any issues.”
