After defeating Uzbekistan on the third day of the Asian Men’s Championship, Thailand’s national volleyball team advanced to the next round as the second team from Group B.
In continuation of the Asian men’s championship volleyball competition, which Iran is hosting in the city of Urmia, and the first match of the third day, two teams of Thailand and Uzbekistan faced each other in Ghadir Stadium with a capacity of 6,000 people.
Thailand and Uzbekistan national volleyball teams faced each other. At the same time, both of them had lost to Japan 3-0 in the previous game, and the winner of this competition would advance from Group B to the next round, and the Thailand team advanced by defeating the opponent 3-0.
…In the first set, the Thailand team dictated its superiority to the opponent and won 25-17 by using the defense on the net and the weak receptions of Uzbekistan.
In the second set, the national volleyball team of Thailand scored consecutive points due to the weak reception of Uzbekistan. It increased the points difference with the opponent, so the coach of the Uzbekistan team had to use two timeouts, but they still could not bear against Thailand, and They won 25-20.
The process continued in the third set, and Uzbekistan players had nothing to say against Thailand. From the beginning of the third set, they saw themselves as losers and lost 25-16.
Yang Jihua from Chinese Taipei was the first referee, and Ali Makki from Bahrain was in charge of judging this match.
Thus, Group B, Japan, and Thailand advanced to the top 12 teams as the first and second teams. Uzbekistan will compete for the 13th to 17th place in the following stages.
