Three World Seats for IRIVF

Tehran, Iran, May 22, 2021 – Dr. Mohammad Reza Davarzani, Ms. Maryam Hessaby and Mr. Amir Tolouekian are the three Iranian representatives in FIVB who are confirmed as members of Finance Commission, Marketing & Communication Commission, and Volleyball Council of FIVB.
The composition of the different commissions within the structure of FIVB were announced on Tuesday at the conclusion of the Board of Administration meeting.
Dr. Mohammad Reza Davarzani as the president of Iran Volleyball Federation and also AVC and FIVB Board Member is selected as the member of FIVB Finance Commission.

Ms. Maryam Hessaby IRIVF International Affairs Director is taking membership in marketing and communication commission.

As the university lecturer, she joined volleyball since 2011 contributing to Iran volleyball and worked as the press officer of Iran Volleyball Federation in AVC to later taking membership in AVC Press Committee in 2016 for four years. During her mandate, she involved in many international events as the member of control committee.

Mr. Amir Tolouekian, IRIVF technical and media advisor is the next Iranian representative who is taking seat in SEC – Volleyball Council.

As a former university player and lecturer, and an international volleyball expert and coach, Amir Tolouekian served volleyball as the chairperson of the transfer committee, member of the sports events department from 2003 to 2006, and as media advisor of the president and federation’s think tank secretary from 2011 to 2015. From 2014 to 2019, he was a member of the Volleyball Expert Commission at the International Association of Sports Media and holds membership in the control committee or various international competitions (indoor and beach) from 2001 to 2020.

Dr. Mohammad Reza Davarzani, IRIVF President in a meeting with the other two Iranian representatives in FIVB expressed his satisfaction with the FIVB’s elected members and drew their attentions to align the IRIVF targets with FIVB goals to promote volleyball in the zone and the world. The attempt is made to take further steps toward moving through the world sport code to maximize the power of Iran volleyball in the world.
