Unexpected Visit by Taghavi to the Media Center of the Championships

The President of the Volleyball Federation made an unexpected visit to the media center of the Men’s Asian Club Championship on Thursday evening, September 12.

According to the Communications Department of the Volleyball Federation, during this visit, he was accompanied by Amirhossein Monazami, Secretary-General of the Federation, and Amir Sharafat, CEO of Shahdad Yazd Sports Club.

Initially, the media team from Yazd introduced themselves, followed by representatives from the Volleyball Federation who introduced themselves one by one and explained their roles in the competition.

The President of the Volleyball Federation then elaborated on the significance of hosting these championships in the Islamic Republic and expressed gratitude to the political and sports officials of the province for their commendable hosting efforts.

Seyed Milad Taghavi emphasized that the happiness of the people is very important to him, noting that this tournament has played a significant role in achieving that goal. He stated, “I hope both Iranian teams reach the final so that the joy of our people is complete.”

He also mentioned that there were attempts to strip Iran of hosting these competitions; however, his participation in the annual meeting of the Asian Volleyball Confederation and discussions with officials led to their failure.

The 26th Asian Men’s Club Volleyball Championship is being held from September 12 to 19, with eight teams competing in Yazd.
