Vakili: Hosting the Asian Championship is the best thing for Iranian beach volleyball

The player of the national beach volleyball team said that hosting the Asian men’s championship is the best thing for Iran’s beach volleyball team and said: I hope this hosting will promote the growth and development of beach volleyball so that we can witness great events in this sport

The Asian Beach Volleyball Open Tour will be held from November 7 to 11 and the Asian Men’s Beach Volleyball Championship will be held in Bandar Abbas from November 14 to 18, and eight teams from Iran will participate in these competitions, four of which are in the tour. Azad Asia and four teams face their opponents in the Asian Men’s Championship

Arash Vakili, who did not participate in the tournament with his usual friend Bahman Salemi this time and is a teammate of Abdul Hamid Mirza Ali, while congratulating Reza Naini for coaching the national beach volleyball teams, said: “We are happy to be apprentices with Naini and we hope to see good things happen in the national teams.” To be with him

Referring to the beginning of the final camp of the national beach teams in Bandar Abbas, he stated: We had good camps in Tehran. The players try very hard and are experienced. I hope we will achieve our collective goal in the upcoming competitions

Regarding Naini’s decision to change teams and not be teammates with his regular friend Bahman Salemi, a lawyer said: Bahman is one of the best beach volleyball players in Iran, but in this sport, one should always be ready for any change, including changing partners. You should not react to these conditions

Stating that he wishes Salami success in future professional sports, he continued: Hamed Mirzaali has been my friend and constant training partner, but we were never in a team. Being a teammate with him is a positive thing and I hope we play good games together. Every change has always brought success for me and hopefully, this time the new composition will bring success to the Iranian national team

Regarding the presence of young players with experienced players, Vakili said: According to the planning of the Volleyball Federation and the Coastal Committee for basic volleyball, there is a good thing going on that young people are training together with experienced players. Salemi, Mirza Ali, and Pourasgari are experienced players who are useful to practice with. These are the young people who have to continue beach volleyball and I hope that their presence in training will continue so that they can continue their journey with stronger motivation

Emphasizing that hosting the men’s Asian championship beach volleyball tournament is the best event on Iran’s beach in recent years, this player stated: Many years ago, this tournament was held in Kish. I hope we will take advantage of this hosting and the players will get good positions so that beach volleyball will progress more and we will see great events in beach volleyball

The final stage of the preparation camp for the national beach volleyball teams to participate in two important Asian beach tournaments started today (Wednesday, November 2nd) in Bandar Abbas and will continue until Monday, November 7th

Bahman Salemi, Arash Vakili, Abdulhamid Mirzaali, Alireza Aghajani, Abbas Pourasgari, Habib Naseri, Zargham Mansouri, Mojtaba Aro, Mehdi Mahfovi, and Sina Shoukti are the players participating in this camp

Reza Naini and Ruhollah Salehinjad as coaches and Parviz Farrokhi as the supervisor of the Iranian national coastal teams will accompany them in this camp and upcoming competitions
