Vladimir Alekno Selected as Iran Men’s National Team Head Coach
Tehran, Iran, November 23, 2020 – Vladimir Alekno has been hired as the Head Coach of the Iranian men’s volleyball team.
After a series of deliberation with the technical committee, the president of Iran Volleyball Federation officially named the Russian Vladimir Alekno as the head coach of Iran Men’s National team.
The contract is signed up to the end of 2021 Olympic Games in which Alekno Vladimir is to set up his collaboration with the Iran Volleyball Federation as early as November 2020 for a careful analysis to select the players for the upcoming tournament including VNL and Olympic Games.
“Alekno is to study the national and foreign leagues to identify his final roaster for VNL as well as the Olympic Games”, President Davarzani stated.
Vladimir Alekno will have the Italian Tomaso Totolo as his assistant coach while the other members of his staff will be Iranian.
