WCH QT/ China beat Korea to be the first world Qualifier in Ardabil
Ardabil, Iran, August 13, 2017 – China registered ticket for World Championship by beating Korea in straight-set win 25-18, 25-10, 25-23 at FIVB World Qualification Tournament at Rezazadeh 6000-seat Stadium.
The five-day tournament has served as the Asian qualification round, where only top two out of five participating teams will make the cut for 2018 FIVB Volleyball Championship in Bulgaria & Italy on September 10-30.
China took the revenge of the last loss against Korea in the quarterfinal of Asian championship in Indonesia and earned the berth for World Championship in Ardabil.
Raul Lozano, the head coach of China said after the match: “Teams of pool B were not that challenging and it was not that tough to play there but all the opponents of pool A are tough and there is a close rivalry among them. So it was hard playing and qualifying in this round.”
