We Are Here for the Championship
The coach of Al Rayyan Volleyball Club asserted that the team is present in Yazd to compete for the championship title at the 2024 Asian Men’s Club Volleyball Championship.
According to the Communications Department of the Volleyball Federation, the 26th Asian Men’s Club Volleyball Championship will kick off tomorrow (Sunday, September 9) in Yazd.
Ali Ishak, assistant coach of Al Rayyan Sports Club from Qatar, commented on their participation in this year’s tournament, stating, “I believe this edition of the competition will be very good, as the number of participating teams is limited, which will help elevate the level of the tournament.”
He added that the team is well-prepared for the event: “Al Rayyan is fully ready to compete, and we will do our best for success.”
Ishak emphasized that we aim to perform well in this tournament. Although we have previously finished in second and third places multiple times, we are determined to secure the championship title this year.
Regarding the hosting city of Yazd, he remarked, “Yazd is a wonderful city, and currently, the competition hall is excellent; everything is ready for the event.”
Ishak also expressed confidence about fan attendance at the matches: “In my opinion, Iranian fans do not need an invitation. We know they are incredibly passionate about volleyball, and the competition hall will be full.”
The teams Gas Al-Janoob (Iraq) and Al Rayyan Sports Club (Qatar) will face each other tomorrow (Sunday, September 9) at 2 PM in the second match of the 26th Asian Men’s Club Volleyball Championship.
