We Owe a Significant Part of Sirjan’s Success to the Fans
The head coach of Foolad Sirjan Iranian, Behrouz Ataei, expressed his gratitude to the fans, stating that a significant part of their success is owed to the Sirjan supporters.
According to the Communications Department of the Volleyball Federation, Behrouz Ataei, after winning the 2024 Asian Men’s Club Volleyball Championship, said: “I congratulate the good fans of Sirjan, the Foolad Sirjan organization, and everyone who contributed to this excellent performance and championship.”
He emphasized that the final match is always tough, and they knew they were up against a high-quality team. “We played against a team that decisively reached the final, and I think Foolad’s players performed exceptionally well, thanks to our good analysis,” he added.
The head coach of Foolad Sirjan stressed: “I don’t want to spoil the joy of the people with controversial remarks. My goal is to showcase what I know and steer volleyball in a direction where we can deliver high-quality players with excellent performance to the community. After the departure of an exceptional generation, Iranian volleyball has faced a shortage of exceptional players, and we no longer have players like Amir Ghafour, Shahram Mahmoudi, Saeid Marouf, and Mohammad Mousavi.”
He continued: “It takes a lot of time to train players, and after these players left, volleyball faced a shortage. I hope that with the right work from the federation and clubs, we can add high-quality players.”
Ataei expressed his gratitude to the Sirjan fans, saying: “I am thankful to the Sirjan fans who helped the team, and a significant part of our success is owed to the Sirjan fans.”
He concluded by saying: “Piazza is a good coach, and I hope the national team succeeds with this great coach.”
Ali Hajipour, the Most Valuable Player of the 26th Asian Men’s Club Volleyball Championship:
I am truly indebted to the fans for being here at this moment and achieving this title.
Regarding his condition after the injury, he stated: “Everyone thought I wouldn’t return to the game, and if I did, I would be at fifty percent of my previous condition. But I always said that when I return, I will be not only as good as before but even better, and I was able to prove this claim in these competitions.”
Hajipour spoke about his future plans, saying: “Becoming a legionnaire is one of my goals, and I hope to achieve it next season. I think about the national team, and in every tournament I participated in, I tried to be the best so that I could be invited back to the national team and prove myself in training to return to the previous lineup. I am interested in playing in the best leagues like Poland, Italy, Russia, France, and others, and I want to be the best in the best league in the world.”
He concluded by saying: “The title I achieved in this competition is valuable to me because I returned to the games after 15 months and was able to overcome negative thoughts and return to the competition field.”
