Week 24 – Sirjan Foulad Improve his place after a tough five-thriller victory over Rahyab Melal
Tehran, Iran, January 24, 2021 – Sirjan Foulad improved his place in the ranking table by moving a step higher after a tough five-thriller victory (19-25, 25-18, 25-21, 21-25, 15-6) over the low-ranked team of Kordestan Rahyab Melal.
Sepahan is still proving his supremacy in Iran Men’s Super Volleyball League with a 3-1 (26-24, 25-23, 22-25, 25-21) victory over Tehran Paykan.
Gonbad Shahrdari stole the show in week 24 by beating Amol Haraz Labaniat 3-1 (25-19, 29-27, 16-25, 25-20) pulling them a step down to the fourth place.
Six matches were held in Week 24 at two halls – Volleyball Federation Hall and Volleyball House of Tehran with Sirjan Foulad, Sepahan Foulad, Gonbad Shahrdari, Varamin Shahrdari, Ramsar Hoursan and Yazd Shahdab claiming victory.
Tehran Saipa and Urmia Shahrdari rested in week 24 and the other teams made the following result:
Sirjan Foulad b Kordestan Rahyab Melal 3-2 (19-25, 25-18, 25-21, 21-25, 15-6)
Varamin Shahrdari b Ardakan Khatam 3-2 (20-25, 25-16, 24-26, 25-23, 15-11)
Sepahan Foulad b Tehran Paykan 3-1 (26-24, 25-23, 22-25, 25-21)
Gonbad Shahrdari b Amol Haraz Labaniat 3-1 (25-19, 29-27, 16-25, 25-20)
Yazd Shahdab b Urmia Azarbatri 3-1 (31-29, 25-19, 25-27, 25-23)
Ramsar Hoursan b Qazvin Shahrdari 3-0 (25-17, 25-22, 29-27)
After Week 24, Sepahan Foulad remained on the top of the standings, while Urmia Shahrdari and Sirjan Foulad came in second and third places respectively.
