Week 30 – Sepahan Foulad closes the Preliminary Round with Victory
Tehran, Iran, February, 17, 2021 – The top team of Super League, Sepahan Fould Sweeps Amol Labaniat Haraz 3-1 (25-21, 25-23, 20-25, 25-23) to close the preliminary stage with victory.
Tehran Paykan, Gonbad Shahrdari, Sepahan Foulad, Urmia Shahrdari, Hoursan Ramsar and Shahdab Yazd beat their opponents in the final week of the preliminary phase.
In the most breathtaking and the only tie-breaker match of the day, Sirjan Fould relegated to the fourth place by losing to Urmia Shahrdari 2-3 (22-25, 25-22, 25-22, 15-25, 12-25).
The top eight teams of the table earned their berth to the playoffs and will battle it out in the Federation Hall from February 23-26 into home and away matches.
The teams are to win two matches out of four and in case they are in tie, two more matches will be held on 27-28 February to identify the final four.
